Electro-Acoustic Egan

Salvi created the electro-acoustic Egan lever harp to give more power to the sound without compromising the acoustic nature of the instrument. The 38 piezoelectric pick-ups capture the individual vibrations of the strings: the amplification is finely balanced so as to complete the entire range of harmonics. The two monophonic outputs - one for mid-high frequencies, the other for mid-low frequencies - guarantee a perfect stereophonic effect. Respecting the acoustic sound of the harp, Salvi technicians have created the Electro acoustic Egan. A harp created to give power to sound, whilst preserving the acoustic natural character of the instrument. The new Egan Electro acoustic is the result of research and experimentation at the Salvi laboratories in Piasco and offers to the harpist a pure and acoustic amplified sound. The 38 directional pick ups collect the vibration of each string conveying all the range of frequencies to the active pre- amplifying circuit. In this way the upper and lower tones are sent unaltered to a pair of monophonic jack outputs. A warm and rich bass end, a harmonious mid – range and clear trebles make the Electro acoustic Egan the perfect harp for the musician who wants a natural amplified sound.
